Iran increases its influence in Dagestan and applies soft power. This is stated in report Special Eurasia Analysis Center.
It should be noted that Iran's influence in the region has been related to trade growth with the Republic – since the start of a special military activity in Ukraine, it has increased more than three times. According to the report, Iran involved Dagestan ports to sell their drones and ammunition.
Earlier, Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali discussed the resolution of the Iranian nuclear program for the Russian Foreign Ministry. In a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, the parties agreed to enhance the interaction between Moscow and Tehran.
