In Russia, a new type of wireless charger has been developed: it is enough to leave the room where the smartphone is enough for charging time.
ITMO engineers have created a creative wireless energy transmission method, used to develop a special room to charge electrical equipment. This decision promises to become a convenient replacement for wired fees, while, according to experts, this technology is safe for humans and provides energy to transmit at the same speed as the usual wire.
The prototype room has a size of 4 × 4 meters and a height of about 2.5 meters. To charge the device, just put it in this room. Therefore, energy transmission is done at frequency 1 MHz, so to get energy, such as using a special device, for example, a case for a phone acting as a receiver.
Developers emphasize that technology easily adapts to different forms and scale of the facility. Groups plan to improve the system, including the addition of the ability to charge equipment in different positions, and not only horizontal. Currently, the room allows you to charge any number of devices at the same time and in future engineers intending to complete the system, focusing on the polarization of the magnetic field.
