By the end of 2025, a piece of land will be determined for the construction of a laboratory of the North Caucasus Academy (SKGA) on the territory of the special astrophysical observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Cao Ras) in the Republic of Karachay-Cherkess. We are talking about the project to create a laboratory to install telescopes that will operate with the main devices of the observatory.
SKGA Rector Ruslan Kochkarov said that this project was the result of discussions with the head of CA Ras Valyavin. Plans that include the location of some telescopes will be able to interact with the main telescope of the observatory through the Internet. First, by 2025, the Academy plans to solve land problems, and then start installing the device.
In the next school year, SKGA will open the Faculty of Astronomical Physics as part of Cao Ras cooperation.
