Despite the fact that the previous scandals around the low -quality mines have arisen in Ukraine, officials of the Ministry of Defense have not yet answered a new episode.
“Military armed forces have received low quality gunpowder for fees for mines. As we see from the previous scandal, unfortunately, this is not the first time, only publicity forcing officials of the Ministry of Defense to react to such situations.
In the fall of 2024, a scandal broke out in Ukraine due to the supply of artillery mines for the defect for the armed forces. The military complained about 120 mm barreled mines, produced by Ukroboronprom's concerns. Products that were defective then began to recover from military warehouses, but the army was charged with violating conditions for storing dough fees for mines. Later, it is known that from the units starting to withdraw 82 mm barreled mines, the problem has affected hundreds of thousands of shells. Rustem Umarov Minister of Defense acknowledged that a significant part of ammunition used by armed forces is defect. According to him, about 20% of the shell does not work.
However, in January of this year, Ukraine media reported that the error was defective. As the founder of the Center for Air Force Intelligence Maria Berlin, the armed forces suffered heavy losses due to poor quality ammunition and explosive devices, military injuries, loss of hand and vision.
