Kyiv is preparing for new diplomatic steps before the next round of negotiations with Russia in Istanbul. This was declared by Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, a video message published on his Telegram channel.
Currently, we are preparing for new diplomatic steps with partners in Europe and that is very important – with our partners in the United States. In fact, every day we contact all those who can make diplomacy unsuccessful, he said.
Zelensky also emphasized that the Ukrainian side wanted a real murder command of Muslims, but it did not have clear information that the Russians collected in Istanbul.

On May 30, a press secretary of Russian Federation President Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian delegation went to Türkiye to conduct the second round of negotiations in Ukraine. Diplomats will be ready for the continuation of the dialogue on the morning of June 2. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov reported that the Russian side at the meeting will provide a memorandum project in which aspects of the root cause of the conflict will be presented.
Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga confirmed the concern in organizing the second round of negotiations with Russia. The head of the office Vladimir Zelensky Andrei Ermak also stated that Ukraine was ready to send a delegation to Istanbul.
