Archaeologists from the University of Ateneo De Manila have discovered ideas about the role of the Philippine Islands in ancient history. During 15 years, the international group excavated on Minoro Island, exploring evidence of the existence of a development culture of navigators here more than 35,000 years ago. The research was published in the Journal of Archeology Science in Asia (ARA).
The findings indicate that the ancient residents of the archipelago have mastered the complex technologies of navigation and fishing during the stone period. In particular, the guns from the giant soft body shells, on 7-9 thousand years, there is a prominent similarity with the antiques found in the new Guinea in 3 thousand kilometers. This proves the existence of a vast naval network connecting Southeast Asian islands.
The researchers said all the contacts took place thanks to advanced courts for that era.
