As part of the experiment, the mouse is fed with polystyrene nanoparticles – one of the most popular plastic – for 12 weeks. Therefore, animals have disrupted the work of dense exposure between intestinal cells: the level of protein is responsible for the integrity of the mucous membrane. This makes the intestine prone to toxins and pathogens.
In addition, nanoparticles affect the composition of microorganisms. The mice have fewer beneficial bacteria and are more likely to cause inflammation. But the main thing – the researchers found that nanoparticles activated the microrm, the gene control molecules. These microrors have prevented the synthesis of protective proteins and offer inflammatory processes.
Scientists note that Nano is a particularly dangerous form of pollution: unpredictable, but it can penetrate the tissue, circulate through the body and violate the sophisticated regulation of cell activity. The work of the researchers emphasizes the risks of the common micro -seeds into the body with water, air and food.
