The ban on Russian personal data storage abroad will take effect on July 1, 2025. Currently working with them, from the collection to removal, should only occur in Russia. New changes are spelled in the amendments of the law “on personal data”.
Until July 1, personal data operators can perform all actions on servers located in Russia, but then they have to transfer the basis to analyze more for foreign processors. However, after this day, such actions will be impossible.
It should be noted that the recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, update, change, change and extraction of personal data of the Russians by using databases in foreign countries are not allowed.
Previously, ensuring accumulation, storage and change of data in Russia only related to personal information operators, but now this applies to the processor.
