New research by archaeologist Michael Donnellan said that the ancient civilization of Atlantis, considered a legend, may be in southern Spain, near the coast of Cadiz. During the project, a group of international scientists led by Michael discovered traces of channels and old buildings may be related to an unknown culture that had previously existed a few millennia previous centuries. These data, according to researchers, coincides with the descriptions given by Plato, first referring to Atlantis in their dialogs.
We find the structures that are hard to explain by natural processes. This may be evidence of the existence of a developed civilization, lost in time, Donellan said.
Although many scientists are still skeptical, new data has increased widely interest from the scientific community and the public.
