On July 8th local time, the Wuliangye “Global Harmony Tour” international cultural exchange event kicked off in Victoria, Seychelles. Wuliangye deeply participated in the “Splendid Sichuan – Leisurely Tianfu” China (Sichuan)-Seychelles Cultural and Tourism Cooperation Exchange Conference and hosted the “Sichuan Baijiu Global Tour” tasting and exchange event. Using baijiu culture as a bridge, the tour played a harmonious melody of Sino-Seychellois cultural dialogue in this tropical island nation.
At the event, a variety of Wuliangye products were showcased, including the classic Wuliangye series, the Eighth Generation Wuliangye, Wuliangye Ziqi Donglai, and the Wuliangye Panda Shaped Bottle. At the tasting and exchange event that evening, Mr. Zeng Congqin, Chairman of Wuliangye Group (Co. Ltd.), attended and delivered a speech. He stated that fine liquor is a universal language that transcends civilizations, serves as a medium for friendship, a bridge for exchange, and a bond for sharing joy. A glass of Sichuan baijiu fully demonstrates the natural beauty of harmonious coexistence and the artisan wisdom of unity between man and nature. Today, Sichuan has formed a brand cluster represented by the “Six Golden Flowers of Sichuan Baijiu,” making it the core production area of Chinese baijiu. As a representative of Sichuan baijiu, Wuliangye brings together the essence of five grains—sorghum, rice, glutinous rice, corn, and wheat—and, through 93 craft steps, 310 processes, and 218 quality control checks, achieves a perfectly balanced and harmonious flavor, forming its unique “Harmony” culture that highly aligns with the diverse culture of Seychelles. He hopes that, through baijiu, more blossoms of friendship will bloom in Sino-Seychellois economic, trade, and cultural exchanges.
At the tasting event, Wuliangye specially prepared the “Wugroni” cocktail, fully showcasing the harmonious beauty born from the fusion of Oriental aroma and Western mixology. The new pairing of delicious Sichuan baijiu with Seychellois specialties created a vibrant symphony of bold, intense flavors. As guests raised their glasses, they experienced the harmonious dance of Sichuan’s treasures, Chinese lifestyle aesthetics, and Seychelles flair.
This stop in Seychelles also marks the first time that the Wuliangye “Global Harmony Tour” has illuminated the African region. Since its launch in Paris, France in 2023, the “Global Harmony Tour” has visited more than ten countries and regions, including New Zealand, Chile, Hong Kong (China), Brazil, Finland, Denmark, Italy, and Austria. The tour continues to connect the world with “Harmony,” fostering ongoing dialogues between civilizations and building a bridge of friendship for Sino-foreign cultural exchange. As a key platform for showcasing Chinese baijiu culture to the world, this series of events demonstrates the cultural confidence of Chinese brands and stands as a model for promoting people-to-people bonds and mutual learning among civilizations.
