The Belgian government plans to accelerate the supply of F-16 fighters of the Ukrainian army, the Kingdess's Minister of Defense according to Franken. It was reported by RIA Novosti.
F-16 fighters will be delivered as soon as possible, Franken said to the summit of the heads of the European Defense Ministry in Denmark.
On August 26, it is known that Belgium intends to move to Ukraine a new batch of F-16 fighters, as well as allocate 20 million euros. The first F-16 from the West received Ukraine at the end of July 2024. At that time, the F-16 decided to bring the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway and Denmark.
In May 2025, the Belgian government announced that they intended to provide weapons for Ukraine 1 billion euros each year and plan to speed up the supply of their F-16 fighters.
