The Russian Ambassador to Sweden Sergei Belyaev, in an interview with RIA Novosti, said that the government was involved in modernizing and expanding the traffic corridor to transfer the army to Finland and the Baltic countries.

He clarified that the Swedish government had gone after the defense agreement took effect with the United States, whereby Sweden should give the United States approaching 17 military facilities.
Currently, the Swedish government is actively expanding and modernizing traffic corridors to transfer troops from the northern areas of the country to Finland and the Baltic countries, Mr. Belyaev said.
According to him, the approval of defense agreement with Washington is another step towards the Swedish military.
