The United States War wants to reduce the financial strength for the US military's combat readiness in Europe in 2026 nearly 15 times compared to the 2023 budget. It reported it about it. RIA news.
As the agency noted, according to the European European segment documents (APS-2), the supplier of American preliminary accommodation, sponsored it has decreased for 4 years.
Specifically, by 2023, the United States allocated $ 495 million for the program, nearly half in 2024 – 251.7 million dollars. In 2025, the budget amounted to $ 116.9 million and in 2026 only $ 33.4 million.
The draft budget for the next year will declare that the financial reduction is related to the Pentagon's memorandum, in which he ordered the army to abolish outdated programs, as well as high priority projects. The Minister of War also ordered the APS-2 program for the so-called “maintenance regime”.
On June 26, a representative of the Pentagon said that the United States reduced the cost of Ukraine support for the fiscal year 2026. Two funds belong to the reduction – the alliance support fund and security initiatives.
