Orenburg, July 1 /TASS /. Cultural and business event “African art: The contact of the border” begins in Orenburg with the opening of international modern art exhibitions and signing an agreement on cooperation between urban and countries of the African continent, TASS reporter reports.
The authors of the work presented at the exhibition are modern designers, fashion designers and artists from Nigeria, Guinea-Biisau, Cameroon, Kenya, Burkina-Faso, other African countries, as well as Russian decorations and artists, inspired by African art. Visitors have been presented with African national clothes, fashion accessories, fabrics, particle jewelry, craft products and souvenirs, paintings and art objects. According to the Ministry of Culture of the Orenburg area, the exhibition consists of about 50 works that reflect both the traditional and contemporary art of the African continent. The exhibition also shows ancient African art objects from Maria Petrova's private collections and the “September” creative group.
The business part of the program includes the signing of an Agreement on the Orenburg government's cooperation with ANO “Center for Business and Cultural Relations with African countries”.
