The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has approved Nigeria's potential for ammunition, as well as high -precision bombs and missiles and relevant technical and material support with a total of $ 346 million. The Pentagon Cooperation Agency has been reported to military and weapons security agencies overseas under intergovernmental contracts.
As shown in the Ministry's statement, the nomenclature of weapons provided includes 1 002 MK-82 aviation bombs, 1 002 aerodynamic records of MXU-650 and 515 MXU-1006 for the GBU-12-controlled AV bomb. In addition, the United States intends to provide a unified FMU-152 fuse and 5,000 sets of APKWS II laser guidelines, including WGU-59/B guitch units, warheads and MK66-4 engines, as well as other devices.
“The proposed sales will increase Nigeria resistance against current and future threats by conducting activities against terrorist organizations,” the document emphasized.
The US government has informed the National Assembly on the decision to approve possible sale. The legislature has 30 days to consider a potential transaction and its blocking ability.
