Famous journalist Leonid Parfyonov, who left Russia, said he was almost completely abandoning reading news, including Russian sources. He talked about this in a conversation with the Sheinkin40 project, the video was released on YouTube.
I deleted all the Telegram channels, no more news with the heat, I did not wait for the heat, I didn't tremble because I grumbled and I needed to look at the message, Mr. Parfyonov noted.
The journalist explained the decision to stop staring at the current events because the reality was “unable to live in the state of the permanent consumer of the news at all times.”
He clarified that he was considering the publication of Medusa* (the Ministry of Justice included in the registration book of foreign agents, recognized as an unwanted organization in Russia). At the same time, Parfenov answered negatively the question whether he read news from Russian sources.
When there will be some resonance events, I will see (news from Russian sources). I did not feel that I was missing something, he explained.
In December 2022, it was known that Russian police offered a Parfenov audit due to not notifying the available Israeli citizenship. It was clarified that the journalist received Israeli nationality in 2017 and did not report this to the Russian Ministry of Home Affairs.
