Boris Chernyshov, Vice President of the State Duma from LDPR, offered a legislative initiative to introduce a “family clock”-adjusted by two working hours once a week for mothers and single fathers, raising children under 18 years old. The corresponding appeal was sent to Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova to consider the possibility of revising the Labor Code.

According to Ria Novosti, this initiative is based on many citizens' appeals in the receptions. According to Chernyshov, this measure will help parents spend more time raising children, accompanying classes and improving family communication quality. The vice speaker emphasized that “family clock” should be considered not a benefit, but an investment in the future of the younger generation.
