Simple strength exercises with resistance can slow down the decline in the age of neurotransmitter, increasing the risk of falling and injury in the elderly. This conclusion was scientists from Syracuse University, publishing house The results in the Journal of Medicine & Science on Sports & Exercise (MSSE).
The study was the participation of 48 people from 18 to 84 years old, people in four weeks three times a week to perform exercises for hands. After training, elderly participants have acknowledged the improvement of the velocity of the neurological signal – especially in the nerve cells quickly, often the first person to lose their age.
According to the authors, the reaction of these nerve cells can return the strength and speed of muscle movements, in real life reduces the likelihood of severe reduction.
