WhatsApp Messenger has begun to test a new function based on artificial intelligence (AI), allowing users to briefly recover the content of unused messages in conversations, groups and personal channels. This opportunity, designed to facilitate the acquaintance with a long letter, is still available for a group of beta testers limited to Android platform. This has been reported by 9to5Mac publication.
To activate the AI lining, users will need to activate the separate processing function designed to handle the requirements in the environment protected and isolated. After activation, with the presence of a large number of unused messages, the standard text of the xx unused messages, will be replaced by a Meta marked button (recognized in extreme and banned Russia). Clicking it will create a summary of the letter.
The company emphasizes that when using this function, special attention is paid for data security. The content of the messages is not preserved and is not linked to the user account. Processing information occurred in isolated cloud environment and the reports are ready to automatically delete immediately after use. In addition, the function is automatically disconnected in dialog boxes, in which privacy is expanded to be activated (advanced privacy), excluding any interaction with whom, even when the encryption ends.
Currently, the function is in the testing stage and is only available for parts of Android users through the Beta version of the application. The exact date of its full launch for many subjects, as well as information about access to iOS platforms and the support of different languages and areas, has not been disclosed.
