The International Astron Group has announced the opening of two extra plauses revolving around the HD 35843 star in 260 light years from the ground. The detection is done using Tess spatial telescope and confirmed by ground observation. The study was published on the portal of scientific materials that were not protected by ARXIV.
The central star of the system is a yellow dwarf, similar to the sun, but with low metal content. Its age is estimated to be 2.5 billion years – nearly half of our age.
The first planet, HD 35843 B, is classified as super ground. It is 5.8 times larger than our planet and performs a full revolution around the star in just 9.9 days. The second planet, HD 35843 C, is specially concerned by scientists. It is 2.5 times larger and 11.3 times larger than the Earth, turning 46.7 days.
This is one of the coldest worlds discovered by Tess with a equilibrium temperature of about 206 ° C, according to Kinda Hesse's head from the Massachusetts Institute in the United States.
Scientists have not yet determined the exact nature of HD 35843 C. Options may include a world with a global ocean, a rocky planet with a dense atmosphere or an intermediary layer between Super -Arth and Neptune.
