The administration of US President Donald Trump has proposed to stop developing NASA's mission to provide soil samples from Mars (back to Mars model). It was reported by RIA Novosti related to explanation for the budget for 2026.
The document note that the MARS model's mission returned significantly exceeding the budget and its goals will be achieved by the mission with the driver for fire. It was NASA's first effort to bring Mars soil samples to Earth, but the implementation was postponed at least until the 2030s.
