Geoscan Company has completed the development of Russia's first Cube 16U -format satellite – Innosat16. It was created to check the Earth's remote sensing technologies and were installed in the start -up container prepared by Aerospeis Capital. In the near future, satellites will be sent to cosmodrom of Vostochny. This is the first Russian apparatus and this size container, written media.
Innosat16 is equipped with a camera that can remove the earth's surface with a resolution of 2.5 meters per pixel. It also has an accurate orientation system, reliable power supply and high -speed generator. All of these technologies allow you to quickly get high quality images from orbit.
To launch, the system of separating satellites has been modernized. Container has become easier than 1.2 kg and the number of mechanisms decreases, increasing reliability and allowing you to run more satellites at the same time.
In addition to Innosat16, similar tasks are prepared for the launch of other eight satellites of Geoscan's 3U format for different experiments. All devices will fly as a load on the Soyuz-2.1B missile in the fall of 2025. The launch operator is Roscosmos.
