Turning off the support means that users will not be able to launch WhatsApp or its job on their device will be limited, including safe updates that will not be installed, experts explain.
The company noted that starting on June 1, WhatsApp will only work on iPhone with iOS 15.1 and newer.
Specifically, iPhone 5s, 6 and 6 plus the support termination. At the same time, the owner of 6S, 6S Plus and the first iPhone SE will maintain access to Messenger according to the installed version of iOS 15.8.4.
Devices on Android 5.0 or previous versions will also be disconnected, the representative of WhatsApp*said.
Journalists found that smartphones with such versions of the operating system have long been involved. They added that users should update the operating system or change the utility to other models.
