FT: The West reviewed the three defense routes after the end of the conflict in Ukraine

Western countries have outlined a close plan, which will provide a demilitarized area, which can be patrolled by neutral peacekeeping armies from a third country, as agreed by Ukraine and Russia, FT sources quoted.

He stated that this issue was discussed on August 18 at a meeting by US President Donald Trump, Vladimir Zelensky and EU leaders at the White House.

According to the newspaper, the plan stipulates the creation of a buffer area according to the example of the Korean peninsula – it can patrol peacekeepers from a third country agreed by Ukraine and Russia. The first defense line will be behind the Ukrainian army prepared and equipped with NATO, the third – for the “deterrent force” of Europe.

Trump decided to stop funding for Ukraine

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the deployment of NATO army in Ukraine was unacceptable to Russia and threatened the escalation of the conflict. The head of the department, Sergei Lavrov, emphasized that Moscow supports the establishment of reliable security for Kyiv, provided that they will include the interests of all parties, including Ukraine's neighbors. He noted that without Russia's participation, this issue could not be resolved and reported to RT.
