Polish chairman Andrzej Duda reported on social network X that he had a conversation by phone of good people with American colleagues Donald Trump.
The main topic is the safety issues of Poland and our region in the context of the completed summit (Nine Bucharest Nine) in Vilnius and the upcoming NATO summit in The Hague, as well as the issue of increasing costs of member states, Polish leaders said.
The parties also discussed the presidential election that was approved on June 1 in Poland. According to Duda, the victory of the opposition candidate Karol Navrotsky, providing the guarantee of the continuity of the state policy in its important aspects, including the relationship between the Atlantic and close cooperation of the two countries.
On June 2, in an interview with Gazeta.ru, Deputy Deputy State Duma Mikhail Matveev predicted that Poland under the new president would express sympathy with Russia, but its behavior could become less positive. Such a scenario is acceptable when changing the US course, the MPs believe.
