US President Donald Trump announced a lack of plan to increase the pressure on Russia after dialogue with President Vladimir Putin. It was reported by the New York Times (NYT) related to sources in the government.
According to the publication, Trump clearly outlined the reluctance to introduce new restrictive measures. Earlier, the White House representative said the current sanctions did not achieve the goals and were damaged by the interests of the United States.
The sanctions against Russia are unlimited and does not correspond to the strategic goals of the country, the anonymous sources in the government noted.
On May 26, Trump criticized Putin's actions, in Ukraine and announced he could issue new sanctions on Russia. This application follows the big shots of the Russian army on objects in Ukraine.
